  3. If you want good stuff you must share good stuff. This will:
  4.  *Improve your shares for better (no boot, no cancel) access.
  5.  *Gurantee your connectivity & higher priority.
  6.  
  7. Check people for shared files when they download your files:
  8.  *Send messages to users encouraging them to share.
  9.  *Do not allow them to download files until they share their files.
  10.  *If you want a file better than an mp3, share a file better
  11.   than an mp3.
  12.  
  13. For the people that have a change of heart:
  14.  *Message me when fixed so you can download what you like.
  15.  
  16. If you are downloading a file from someone:
  17.  *If they browse your files and choose to download one of your files,
  18.   start their transfer early for them.
  19.  
  20. GOOD SHARES = PRIORITY ACCESS
  21.  1. Your request gets bumped to the top of the queue.
  22.  2. Your files are guaranteed to completion.
  23.  3. You may download more than one files.
  24.  
  25. If you don't have anything to share:
  26.  *Message the user that has the file you want and ask. Hope you don't
  27.   mind camping out for a few days waiting. People that don't have files
  28.   and don't be a RUDE FREELOADER usually get the file they want from me
  29.   anyway.

  31. Connecting to additional servers besides WPNP:
  32.  *You can download a different version of the "nservers.dat" file that
  33.   is included with WinMX. Put this file in your WinMX folder (usually
  34.   "C:\Program Files\WinMX\"); choose to replace the existing one. This
  35.   file contains a large list of opennap networks and servers.

  38. For tweaking your connections speed:
  39.  *I recommend a program called "CableNut" for tweaking the Windows
  40.   registry for faster internet connection speeds. You can get it at
  41.   [http://www.download.com] or their website, [http://www.cablenut.com]

  43. Tweaking WinMX to be faster:
  44.  *Click Transfers --> Bandwidth.. --> Uncheck all boxes. Set bandwidth
  45.   throttle to 200ms. 
  46.  *Click Transfers --> Queuing.. --> Max Total Downloads: 4
  47.                                     Max Downloads Per User: 1
  48.                                     Max Total Uploads: 3
  49.                                     Max Uploads Per User: 1
  50.                                     Check "When _2_ or more downloads
  51.                                      change connection speed to 14.4

  53. Additional notes:
  54.  *Don't share incomplete files!!
  55.  *Don't share useless system files, or random crap.. we don't need that
  56.   shit slowing down opennap servers and crowding WPNP.
  57.  *Don't share your files with FREELOADERS. P2P newbies tend to think
  58.   they can just freeload, show them otherwise.
  59.  *Put this note in files that you are sharing and spread the word.
